PBIS Congrats

Hook Junior High School, Silverado High School and Victor Valley High School will be honored this month for their efforts to maintain positive school culture during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The three Victor Valley Union High School District schools are among 40 in the region (along with 14 supporting partners) who have been recognized by the California PBIS Coalition and the CAHELP Prevention and Intervention team for their dedication to students and their positive impact on the community in response to COVID-19.

The schools are being recognized for fostering positive school culture with online events and activities during the pandemic.

“I’d like to commend all of our staff members for trying to make this difficult time a little easier for our students and their families,” VVUHSD Superintendent Dr. Ron Williams said.

The recognition event will be held Oct. 29 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Zoom. Anyone interested in attending can visit https://sbcss.k12oms.org/52-193170 to register.
